Yes, indeed, the government had act in a way that upset the indians of our beloved country. I can still recall UMNO general assembly being held on Deepavali, which is a nationwide-known public holiday. This shows that Indians are given no respect as their most imperative day was snubbed. You can imagine wad will happen if MCA's assembly was actually held on Hari Raya.
Recently, many from all walks of life hit the streets in numerous protests and campaign. These people are not trying to derange anything or to create chaos. But they are speaking out from their deepest and darkest desires, which is to have a better living. This better living of them requires a just and fair government. The government is the ruling power in a political society. It has to act in a way to please every citizen. Those illtreated will only get rebellious and turn their backs on the government.

Recently a group of lawyers who went shopping in SOGO was detained for questioning regarding the bar council rally event. Now why is lawyers going out together shopping an illegal gathering? There is no such need for a permit to go for shopping, if it is stated in the constitution that if 5 or more people band together for a gathering there must be a permit for it otherwise it is considered an illegal gathering which can be brought forth to court upon discovery. Hence a family of 6 who is going out for beach picnic will be sued if they were discovered going out for picnics and all without a permit? Very interesting. besides kudos to Badawi for justifying the term A Democratic Nation, just don't further worsen things, the World is looking, just like the time when we sent our million dollar space tourist up. =)
Ever since I was young, I have always been interested in the complicated legal system which is used to regulate human behaviour. Since starting my course of South Australian Matriculation in which I took up the subject of Legal Sudies, the complication of the legal system had become much visible. This is much more evident as I went through the 1st and 2nd year of reading law. I also found out that legal developments area are forever changing, running side by side with the other developments of the world. I also came to realize that law is not just academic understanding but a plentiful of motivation, creativity, hard work and determination are needed to flourish as a successful law student.
My decision to apply for a degree in Law is due to the massive influence brought by my family. My Grandparents are police officers while my parents and relatives have their own successful legal firms. With that, you can safely assume that it is in my blood for the passion of law and I have certainly inherited the interest due to the fascinating works that my extended family is running.
I have also always been keen to practice as a lawyer myself in the future. As a stepping stone, I had once served a law firm as a attachment student during the period running, November 2009 to December 2009. I indulged myself into all the aspects of law, with priority given to conveyance and litigation work. The time that I had been through over the attachment period gave me huge experience and valuable knowledge.
During my time in Secondary School, I captained the school's volleyball team. This 2 year term as a captain had certainly enhanced my leadership abilities as I learnt how to organize and manage the team. I came to the acknowledgement of the magnitude of teamwork and I had been constantly doing my best to improve the team’s morale and spirits. Whilst being captain, I also believed in a democratic process, giving individuals a say in everything. My role was not as a dictator but to bring forward each individual’s ideas together and conclude with a wise decision. Being captain made me gain an understanding of being committed and loyal to the team and lead the team in as many ways as possible to reach goals and targets together.
I am indeed very determined and ambitious to continue my 3rd year of Degree in Law at the United Kingdom. I have also learn to know that pursuing a degree in a University is not purely about obtaining a degree, but it is a learning process and a valuable moment to gain more experience in order to be successful in the society. Hence, if I were given this marvelous opportunity to further my studies at UK, I would be more than willing to devote myself to the hard work required in order to complete my course without any hindrances and shortcomings. As a saying goes: “when there is a will, there is a way”.
